Assistant Dean of Student Development and Residence Life

The Assistant Dean of Student Development and Residence Life (ASDS) is a full time professional administrative staff position that provides over all leadership to the Residence Life, Conduct, and Housing programs. The ASDS provides supervision for the Assistant Director of Residence Life and the Residence Directors. The ASDS strives to develop a Residence Life program that integrates faith, living and learning.

Assistant Director of Residence Life/Residence Director

The Assistant Director of Residence Life/Residence Director is a full time ministry oriented professional staff person who, in addition to Residence Director responsibilities, lives on campus and provides additional leadership to the Residence Life program.

Residence Directors

The three Residence Directors (RDs) are full time ministry oriented professional staff who live on campus and provide counseling, mediation, emergency on-call services and leadership to all of the residents. The RDs provide leadership and supervision to a team of Resident Assistants. RDs assist students with integrating responsible living and learning in a Christian community setting.

Resident Assistants

Resident Assistants (RAs) are para-professional student staff members who live in residence and serve the community through providing intentional programs and services. Their duties include interpreting and enforcing FPU policies and to cultivate community through establishing and building relationships with students that foster a sense of belonging to FPU’s residential community. Their passion is to build a community of learners who strive to search after God.

Assistant Resident Assistants

Assistant Resident Assistants (ARAs) are para-professional student staff members who live in residence and serve the community through providing assistance to the RAs. Their primary responsibilities are to be available to assist with student needs and facilitate community development in their assigned living area.

Residential Peer Ministry Coordinator (Coordinator)

The Coordinators are responsible for planning and implementing programs such as Mountain Top (worship events) and Bird Feed (bible studies).

Residential Peer Ministry Leads

The Leads are responsible for implementing the Residential Peer Ministry Assistant Program (volunteer), working with an RD to select and train 20+ volunteers.

Residential Peer Ministry Assistant (Volunteer Assistants)

The Volunteer Assistants are representatives selected from each living area who desire to make a strategic personal impact on the spiritual, relational and academic welfare of those living in their specific living area.
